- Started work as an Operations Engineer for the OnDemand team at SugarCRM. Enterprise cluster ninja. I used heavy duty commercial hardware and software, Open Source software, monitoring tools, scripting languages, and problem solving skills to keep SugarCRM's web properties and our ondemand environment running and growing both effectively and securely. (Jan 2008 - Jan 2010)

- Worked at Google as a Platforms Team intern. Software Engineering intern working on Networking in the Platforms Team at Google. ("The Platforms Team builds Google's computing platform: the datacenters, servers, networking and system software that powers all of Google's services. Networking Engineers work on projects involving next generation networking systems and architecture, distributed systems, and routing.") I did a lot of neat things in Python with threading, SWIG, and unit tests. My primary project was a simulation tool designed to help with training and the development of monitoring software. (May 2007 - August 2007)

Responsible for: managing and writing management software for the distributed network of nodes, writing code to compute statistics and detect anomalies in performance data, facilitate interaction with other groups to allow them to use the network including packing software and distributing it to the machines, and work with tools such as ndt, bwctl, nagios, and perfSONAR to evaluate them and eventually include their measurements in CPR results. Responsible for coordinating a team of developers around the world to develop the project and put out new feature releases and security updates; managing patches, bug fixes, and feature requests; and writing some code. - Worked as a Security Engineer at The Fulcrum Group: Responsible for implementing and maintaining scalable network solutions utilizing Windows Server technology as well as Linux and specalized networking hardware such as SonicWall firewalls. Implemented a high-availability tool for BIND in perl, Active Directory based authentication in Linux, pam password complexity checking module in C for AIX/Solaris/Linux, and a customized e-mail spam filtering and virus scanning appliance utilizing perl and an assortment of pieces of open source software. - Started working as the IT Manager in the Georgia Tech Student Center (June 2002 - September 2004) Provided support for all aspects of IT in the GT Student Center including the Administrative Offices, the Post Office, and the Student Center Programs Board, communicating with student staff and full time professionals. Facilitated migration from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X on new server equipment and existing desktops. Managed IP addresses, license distribution for software, and the Pitney Bowes package management system in the post office. Planed annual hardware and software purchases. Implemented a system for imaging machines as well as single signon and network home directories with Mac OS X Server.
- Worked as a Peer Leader for Georgia Tech Housing (Aug 2002 - May 2003) Served as a Peer Leader for a hall of incoming freshmen, developing and facilitating a community environment, which contributed to the intellectual, social, and cultural growth of 19 freshmen resulting in increased academic success, retention, and an overall positive first year at Georgia Tech.

Received NAHS Most Outstanding Technology Award in 2001 for providing over 250 hours of service
